My name is Isabelle Poliquin and I’m on the team as a psychosocial care worker. With 22 years’ experience as a beneficiary attendant, I’ve worked with a variety of clients aged 0 to 100. I am currently completing a certificate in gerontology at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Isabelle brings a deeply humanistic approach to her work, along with enthusiasm, patience, dedication and optimism. Her strong interpersonal skills make her a pleasant, approachable and compassionate presence for those around her.
Her goal is to use her experience and empathy to bring light into people’s lives—by listening, supporting and creating opportunities for meaningful connection. As a facilitator of activities designed to foster relaxation and conversation, Isabelle strives to build trusting relationships with those navigating challenging or transitional times.
Having recently worked with the Alzheimer Society of Haut-Richelieu, she has gained valuable experience as both an in-home respite attendant and a family services coordinator. Isabelle is thrilled to join the team and looks forward to meeting you and supporting your needs.

You can learn to be a caregiver!
Do you care for someone with a physical or other illness or disability?
You no longer have any time to yourself, and you never thought this task would become so onerous. It’s beginning to take its toll on you, depriving you of your favorite activities, and so on. This program is for you.
PROGRAMMING
January 27 to April 7
Tuesdays, 10am to 12pm (10 meetings)
Transition to lodging for a loved one
Are you exhausted and feel you’ve reached your limits? The idea of moving to a residence or CHSLD is obvious, but you feel guilty about it?
This transition is one of the most difficult for caregivers: accepting that home is no longer safe, dealing with uprooting, guilt and mourning the memories left behind.
This workshop offers you a space to share your fears, understand your emotions and equip yourself to get through this stage with kindness, both for your loved one and for yourself.
PROGRAMMING
January 28 to April 8
Wednesdays, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm (10 sessions)
